A page on the restoration of a 1950 Rivett model 104 Universal Grinder. Orginally designed in the 1920's for overhead line shaft drive, by the end of production in the 1950's it came equipped with the 3 hp motor drive mounted on brackets behind the machine, though with two flat belts driving the grinding wheel and another flat belt driving the unique rotating adjustable cam for the oscillating table feed.
